[ Apparently Rex saves his sense of humour for the bedroom, because he huffs out a quick, fond exhale, not quite a laugh but damn well close to it. It plays at the exasperation he puts on, sometimes, when Poe and Andy are getting up to hijinks that Rex pretends to disapprove of but (not so) secretly enjoys. Poe's always been more hands-on, more demonstrative than anyone else Rex has known so, he figures, it makes sense that it would extend to something like this as well.
He doesn't return the favour, but he does shift around, manhandling Poe a little to sling his arm over his shoulders. He had missed this, before joining up with Poe and Andy - camaraderie, yes, but touch too. He'd figured he'd gotten all he needed whenever Poe slipped into bed with him, just the contact of someone beside him and someone else's breathing to listen to when everything else is still. It just seems somehow more acceptable to lean into that now, in a different sort of way than it had been with any of the others.
Perhaps that's not the case. But Rex has never been one to question anything when he's got a good thing going. ]
