[ Poe thinks he's the one getting the best end of the deal? That makes Rex look even more skeptical than ever. Maybe they'd all been aimless at the beginning, but Rex had been the one on the run, unable to meet anyone he could possibly trust. No friends, no families, no allies, not a friendly face in sight. And somehow, impossibly, he'd wound up with two people not only willing to stay by his side but people he wants by his side - good, noble, brave, foolhardy people he can trust with his life. He doesn't need the word love bandied about to get the good end of this deal.

He has a life now. A happy one. It's something he'd never dared dream of before and something he's still astonished he's got now. Sure, the idea of - of maneuvers with Andy is -- well. She's an remarkable woman, isn't she?
